About RIvo
Rivo is a noble hero with a big heart. He's based off the heroes I grew up adoring. Heroes like Luke Skywalker, Link (Zelda), Atreyu (Neverending Story), Wesley (Princess Bride), and many, many more.I wanted to make a hero different than what we see in a lot of contemporary fiction. One who isn't gritty, nihilistic, and morally grey, but earnest and uncorrupted by the world. A hero who wants to be there, who's virtuous and just. One who wants to help and save others no matter the cost. I feel his story is more of a tribute to the heroes of old who wanted to do the right thing, because saving the world is what heroes do.Rivo's story is a clean YA fantasy. No politics or shoe-horned agendas, but rather a story to escape the issues of our day into a world where the line dividing good and evil is clearly drawn. This is a story about a kingdom in danger. A coming of age tale with battles, and adventure. About a noble young man Named Rivo and his place in this world. It's not just action, it's about family, friendship and love. Not a steamy, spicy love, but the innocent and pure love we used to hear stories about.

Franko: Blade of the Shattered Star.
Reader Reviews
"An entertaining fantasy read with memorable characters and a strong emotional storyline."
-Amazon reviewer
"I picked this up expecting a fantasy adventure and ended up getting a story that felt much more personal. Franko's journey is driven by loss, but the book does a good job showing how revenge can pull someone in one direction while the people they care about pull them in another. The Forest Demon was probably my favorite part of the story. Every time that thread came back into the plot, I wanted to keep reading. Definitely glad I gave this one a chance."
